A fun gardening poem for adults and children alike.

Parsnips!

Parsnips!

Come to me, my dear ones, 
and see what I have done!

(Well, actually it wasn’t me—
it was the earth, the rain, and sun.)

Behold the giant parsnip,
you won’t believe your eyes!

(I simply have no idea
how it grew to be this size.)

Check out this glorious monster,
so long and straight and thin.

(Nothing like my carrot creatures,
who have lots and lots of limbs.)

I shall now be the queen of parsnips!
I shall dig forevermore!

(Even though this parsnip, 
Was quite a massive chore)

Parsnips for now and always, 
and life shall be pure bliss.

(But maybe I’m not cut out 
for parsnips quite as big as this.)
